Hegelian Dialectic
A Hegelian Dialectic is a three stage process for guiding our thoughts and actions into conflicts that lead to a predetermined solution. It takes its name from the German philosopher Hegel (1770 – 1831).First an ideology (or way of thinking) puts something forward (a Thesis), next there is strong reaction to it and an opposite position is suggested by other people, conflict happens between the two sides, they eventually arrive at a compromise when they get tired of the conflict; which was actually the secret intention in the first place!
The significance of all this is that a population can be made to gradually accept things that previously they would never have accepted.
An example of Hegelian Dialectic could be secretly supporting your declared enemy! This would appear to be a stupid thing to do as it fuels a conflict, but after much pain of the conflict, the people would be prepared to accept many reductions in their personal liberties, and the supposed enemy would be prepared to accept many reductions to their powers in order to have a form of compromise peace! If the ruthless intention in the first place had been to take personal liberties and power away from people, the people would never have agreed to it, but by the three steps of thesis, anti-thesis then synthesis, the aims have been achieved! The process continues as some people do not accept the 'compromise peace' and start to fight again, then the Hegelian Dialectic continues knowing that after all the cruel fighting, the people will all agree to yet further reductions in their liberties and power.
Hegel's philosophy made a great impression on Carl Marx, but besides human plans the principle also describes how unseen spirit forces can cause conflicts to arrive at a pre-determined result, often so subtle that few people realise what is actually happening!
An example of a '3D Hegelian Dialectic' involving 'Dark Forces', could be over fossil fuel pollution, Climate Change, then leading to a Nuclear agenda!
